"Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature." (Mk 16:15)
Holy Spirit Parish invites all children in grades first through fifth to join in an ongoing conversion to Jesus Christ and full and active participation in the life of the Church through our faith formation classes.
Catechesis is more than just religious education—it is a life-long journey of conversion. Our goal is to bring our children to Christ, to prepare them for the sacramental life of the church, to help them understand the social justice implications of discipleship as we integrate prayer into their lives.
We use the textbook, We Believe (William H. Sadlier, Inc), which integrates prayer, liturgy and Catholic social teaching into each lesson. The text contains many special family activities that extend classroom learning into at-home family catechesis. Parents can elaborate on classroom learning by visiting www.sadlier.com for interactive games and additional family acitivities.
This is Sacramental Preparation for Reconciliation and Eucharist.
