All children in grades 1 through 6 are invited to attend Children’s Liturgy of the Word. CLOW provides an opportunity for the children to break open the Word in a “kid-friendly” and age-appropriate environment. After the opening prayer, the children in grades 1 through 6 are called forward by the presider for a special blessing and are dismissed from Mass to the Parish Hall to experience the scripture readings through listening, discussion and prayer. They return to mass prior to the Liturgy of the Eucharist. CLOW is offered during the weekend Masses* (Saturday, 5 p.m. and Sunday, 9:30 a.m.). There is no registration or fee for this program. Children are encouraged to participate in CLOW at whatever Mass they attend.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) will be offered this summer at the 9:30am Mass only. We will begin our summer offering on June 19 and continue through August 28 with a break for Sunday, July 3 in honor of Independence Day. Children grades 1 – 5 are dismissed at the Liturgy of the Word to the parish hall to share the readings with a catechist at their own level and then return to Mass just as the Eucharistic prayer begins.
